Hi friend!
When you use Mathletics, Reading Eggs, Reading Eggspress, Mathseeds, Writing Legends, LiteracyPlanet or Brightpath Progress, we look after some information about you. This page tells you what we collect, why, and what you get to choose. We’ve made it short and friendly — but if anything is tricky, ask a trusted grown-up.

Who we are
3P Learning and its group of companies make Mathletics, Reading Eggs, Mathseeds, Writing Legends, LiteracyPlanet and Brightpath. Depending on which product you use, the 3P Learning company and its group of companies own your information. The full list of the group of companies lives in our adult Privacy Policy.
In privacy law, the company that decides what to do with your information is called the ‘controller’. For our home accounts that’s 3P Learning. For school accounts, it’s your school — we just process the data on their instructions.

Your information backpack
Imagine the things we know about you live in a special backpack — your information backpack. The backpack belongs to YOU. We only get to peek inside for good reasons.

Here are the three kinds of things we keep in your backpack:

If your school uses Reading Eggs, we may also record your voice for a read aloud activity.
Why do we need it?
We use your information to make learning work for YOU:
- To save your progress so you can carry on next time.
- To help your teacher or grown-up cheer you on.
- To keep our games working safely.
- The program will not work properly if we cannot collect the information we asked for.
- For Home accounts, privacy law says we must have a proper reason for using any of your information. That reason is called a lawful basis. We use four:

- Contract: When your trusted adult signs you up, our agreement with your trusted adult is a contract — that lets us run the service for you.
- Legitimate interest: We can use limited data to keep the service safe and reliable, e.g. blocking attackers and fixing bugs.
- Legal obligation: We may have to keep some data (like billing information) to follow laws.
- Consent: For optional things like marketing emails to your trusted adult, we ask first and they can change their minds at any time.
TALK TO A TRUSTED ADULT
Words like “contract” and “legitimate interest” are real legal terms. If you want to know more, ask a trusted adult or teacher to read this part with you, or ask them to read and explain our adult Privacy Policy.
For School accounts, it is the school who determine lawful basis and they can assist you further.

We keep it safe

Your information is locked up tight, like treasure in a vault. Only the right people get the key:
- We use strong codes (encryption), so it stays private.
- Only people with a job to do can look at your information.
- We never look at where you are — we don’t track your location.
- We only keep your info for as long as we need it. We keep your account and progress while you use it, and for some time after you stop — then we tidy it up. Voice recordings are deleted after 24 months.
- On leaderboards, we only show your first name, initials or a nickname — never your full name.
We will NEVER…

That’s a promise. Some companies do these things — we don’t, and we won’t.
Your 5 backpack powers

These are special things you can do with your information backpack. A trusted grown-up or your school can help you use them.
Look inside
See what’s in your backpack — ask what we know about you. We, or your school, must show it to you.
Check it
If you find something we have is wrong, let us or your school know and we’ll fix it.
Take it out
If you stop using us, you can ask us or your school to forget you.
Say stop
Even if we have your info, you can ask us or your school to stop using it for a while.
Say "no"
You can choose not to share some things — your trusted grown-up or school will help.
Where does your info live?
Because we work with children all around the world, your information might be kept or looked at in countries like:

Wherever it goes, we make sure it’s still safely looked after with the same rules. We use special legal agreements (called Standard Contractual Clauses) to keep your information protected when it travels. A grown-up can ask us for a copy at privacy@3plearning.com.
Be a privacy hero!

You can help look after privacy too:
- Be kind to other users — we’re all here to learn.
- Keep your password a SUPER SECRET. Even from your best friend.
- Don’t share other people’s info or passwords.
- If something feels weird or worrying, tell a trusted grown-up right away.
Need help? Ask a trusted grown-up

If you want us to look in your backpack, fix something, or empty it, ask the trusted grown-up who looks after your account or contact us yourself. You can email us at:
privacy@3plearning.comWe try to reply within a week.
If you’re not happy
If you or your grown-up think we haven’t looked after your info properly, you can tell a special team called a privacy regulator. In the UK that’s the ICO. They listen to people who aren’t happy with how their info was used and can help.
Now go and have FUN learning!
